The River Una
- Rafting on the Una
- Enjoying the view of magnificent canyons
The path 12 km long is suitable for hikers of all ages, running along the banks of the river abounding in marvellous rapid streams. Picnic by the river with plenty of folk-cuisine specialties (lamb, Bosnian hotpot, trout, salads, baclavas...accompanied by Bihać beer and plum brandy which is an absolute must!).

Una
In Latin one and only, unique by its whirlpools, waterfalls, flow and its course.
An essential feature of this region, the pulsing of life, consists not only in the colour of water and light woven in the whirlpools of the river but also in its quiet and inevitable passing.
The Una River, 212.5 km long, is a border between Croatia and Bosnia. Una rises as a typical carstic spring of the raising type surrounded by the steep, almost vertical cliffs. Barriers made of sedimentary rocks create numerous waterfalls of which the largest one is in Martin Brod (54 m) where the first major affluent, Unac, streams into it.
Proteus newt lives in the Una River basin in the underwater of the Grmeč Mountain; about 170 medicinal herbs grow by the Una River; a rare plant-Campanile unensis , the Una blue-bell, was named after the Una River; 29 kinds of fish live in this river among which huchen is the biggest and most famous. Small crayfish can be seen in sandy silts, which is a sure sign of clean water, and the colourful riverbed of the Una River and the play of rapids and waterfalls is the result of a live longlasting and rare biochemical process of creation of sedimentary rocks without which the Una River would lose its basic characteristics...
Chamois can be seen in the Grmuča Canyon, and for all these reasons, as well as for some other not mentioned, the Una River is a real heaven for rafting activities.
